Translucent Scrolls
“Translucent Scrolls” is a variation on traditional Asian scrolls. Two fully realized paintings are glued together or mounted on silk. Because the papers are transparent the images of one painting can be viewed from the other side. Planning is exact so that figures, forms, shapes and colors interplay and the relationships of one to the other are relevant. These translucent scrolls started as double sided and now also includes a circular presentation. These paintings are attached to poles, archer's bow, PVC piping. They are suspended from ceilings turning with each breeze creating a dynamic dimension to the work.
