Framed Perceptions is a multimedia exhibition that explores the intricate ways our bodies, identities, and perceptions are presented, performed, and understood. Bringing together the work of ten contemporary artists, the show offers an expansive look at embodiment—how we inhabit our bodies, how others perceive them, and how we express selfhood through gesture, adornment, ritual, and resistance.....Jessica Damen and Christopher Batten address race, myth, and gender through figuration that exposes conflict and resilience. The Feminine Narratives of Jessica Damen
Explore a world where vibrant art intertwines with ancient Greek myths in the exhibition Resilience and Reimagining: The Feminine Narratives of Jessica Damen. Hosted by Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), this solo show is a celebration of expressive brushwork and contemporary feminist perspectives.Jessica Damen's artistry breathes life into the mythic Leda, Artemis and Ariadne empowering them with the strength and agency they deserve. Through vivid colors and powerful strokes, Damen challenges traditional roles and narratives, asking viewers to reconsider their understanding of history and gender.

Above are the two side of my scroll painting,Artemis:Slayer of Methane Monsters,Protector of Life, which has been selected into a nationally called exhibition at the Annmarie Sculpture Park and Art Center located in Solomon's Island, Maryland. Breaking Ground: Art About The Earth features artists from across the United States and Canada and can be seen from now until April 23, 2023.
