Three school girls unwillingly posing before leaving for school
Say Cheese
oil on canvas
58 x 50"
2000

Inspired by a small black and white "brownie" snapshot, I imagine these girls forced to stand still just before a bus picks them up for school. They are wearing clothes from the 1950's era. I see a slight tension between the girls. There are hidden symbols within the school bags and books.
