The Minotaur, a favorite surrealists symbol, represents the beast or the uncontrollable man. This last painting of my “The Other Story” series envisions Ariadne, the jilted lover of Theseus, overcoming her self doubts. She destroys the Minotaur becoming her own heroine and mistress of her own fate.
